Construction: The T.H.Taylor Difference

---Many people ask us, “What makes you different?” The answer is simple. Below are 15 items that are standard* in every home we build. Whether you need a garden home or a large estate home, we will build it the same way using the same stringent standards. Please consider this list carefully, and feel free to ask us a question.

1. Most plans are designed by an AIA registered architect.
2. Every home has soils test performed by a certified soils engineer. (A written report is provided.)
3. Every home has site/ home layout professionally engineered. (A drawing is provided.)
4. Every home has lot drainage professionally engineered. (A drawing is provided.)
5. Every foundation is designed by a structural engineering firm.
6. Every foundation is inspected and approved by a structural engineer. (A written report is provided.)
7. All stucco is hard coat cement stucco installed over oriented strand board (OSB) and metal lathe. (We do not use synthetic stucco- EIFS/Dryvit.)
8. All siding is James Hardie brand Hardi-Plank cement board. (No wood to rot.)
9. All eaves and soffitts are Hardi-soffitt cement board. (No wood to rot.)
10. All homes exterior walls are wrapped with Tyvek house wrap. (Gore-tex for houses.)
11. All roof shingles are installed over Triflex 30 rubberized underlayment. (Industry standard is felt paper.)
12. All windows and doors are installed in a bed of caulk to prevent water, wind and insect intrusion.
13. All windows are metal-clad wood windows or PVC. (Rot-proof and never need painting.)
14. Every home is wired for a security system.
15. Every home is wired with seven telephone and eight cable outlets. All phone lines are category 5 (enhanced) high speed for DSL and all cable lines are RG6 (digital) for cable modems.

---All of the items above are standard* in a T.H.Taylor home. They do cost a little more, but we at T.H.Taylor will not compromise on the quality of your home at any cost. We urge you to take this comparison and ask any other builder you may be interviewing if he or she will provide every one of these items. We think you will be surprised. After all, a new home is the largest investment you will ever make. Why not be sure you are comparing apples to apples and not to oranges? This comparison is for your benefit and there is no need to bring it back to us, but if you would like, we will be glad to discuss it with you at any time.
